  • What are the common aircraft in the airline?
As a bush airline we typically fly the following aircraft: - Simworks Studio Kodiak 100 - MilViz or Asobo PC-6 - Asobo Cessna C208 Grand Caravan - PAC P-750
  • Do you just fly bush aircraft or do you fly other types of aircraft as well?
The management of Penguinair has an eclectic interest in aviation, and you will find us flying a wide variety of aircraft from helicopters to widebodies. Our objective is to provide a space for bush flying in less supported aircraft though, so this isn't the airline for you if all you want to fly is 747s and 380s.
  • What if I want to fly X aircraft?
Most aircraft are on the table. Our general guidelines for acquiring an aircraft to fly are that: - the member requesting has a history of flying the aircraft that they request to acquired - the aircraft will be able to pay itself off in less than 6 months - the aircraft works on one of our existing routes - the aircraft will not put undo stress on the financials of the airline We have two options when acquiring aircraft: Buy or Lease. Buying is preferable for us for aircraft we expect that multiple members will fly long term. We may choose to lease a requested aircraft if it is either extremely expensive to purchase outright or if we think it will not be flown often.
  • What platforms does Penguinair fly on?
We are technically compatible with any flight simulator that works wit the FSAirline's Flight-Tracker: - MSFS - FSX - FS 2004 - Prepar3d v6+ - X-Plane10+ However, the majority of members fly together in MSFS.
  • What ACARS system does Penguinair use?
Penguinair uses FSAirlines for its virtual airline management and its ACARS. We've grown to like the added gameplay of a multi-airline economy and have found that FSAirlines generally meets our needs adequately.
  • Does Penguinair fly on VATSIM or IVAO?
When it suits us, yes. However, the areas we fly in are typically under-served by flight sim networks and not commonly traveled. We are interested in potentially increasing the exposure of areas like PNG to the flight sim networks.
